Key Announcements Made At 34th AGM Of Credai Bengal

CREDAI Bengal is the apex association for real estate developers in Kolkata and adjoining areas. The institution organized it’s 34th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at The Park, Kolkata.

Shri Firhad Hakim, Mayor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation and Hon’ble Minister, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs Dept, (UD & MA), Government of West Bengal (GoWB) was the Chief Guest. Shri Binod Kumar, Municipal Commissioner, Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) was present on the occasion as Special Guest.

At the AGM, two key announcements were made. The KMC will get 5 lakh seedlings from CREDAI Bengal over the course of the next three years for planting throughout Kolkata. It was planned to be a component of CREDAI Bengal’s “Kalpavriksha” Programme, a CSR initiative it has been carrying out for the past three years to green certain areas of Kolkata and West Bengal.

The adoption of 10 municipal parks by CREDAI Bengal members was the subject of the second announcement. According to this agreement, CREDAI Bengal would run, maintain, and beautify the parks and keep them open to the public from 6 AM to 8 PM. The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) and CREDAI Bengal representatives exchanged memorandums of understanding (MOUs) in this regard.

The Honourable Mayor was grateful for CREDAI Bengal’s ongoing support of numerous KMC-led civic projects that benefit the general public.

As the present Board’s term runs from 2022 to 2024, the CREDAI Bengal office holders for 2023–2024 stay the same, with Mr. Sidharth Pansari remaining in his role as president and Mr. Apurva Salarpuria and Mr. Ashok Saraf continuing in their roles as vice presidents.

Mr. Pansari congratulated all of the association’s members and its Youth Wing for their active participation in CREDAI Bengal and praised the voluntary service provided by all Board members to the organization’s numerous activities and initiatives.

At the 34th AGM, the new Managing & Executive Committee 2023-24 was announced and the Annual Booklet ‘Milestones’ commemorating the AGM, was released by the Hon’ble Mayor of Kolkata, Municipal Commissioner, office bearers, and past presidents of CREDAI Bengal.
