A memoir of Delhi-based writer Ajoy Gupta’s life “Jui Shapla Padma aar Harano Bhitey” was released at an event organized at South Kolkata’s Yogen Chowdhury Center for the Arts.

The book launch was organized by Sumitra Prakashani.

As a native-born citizen of Bangladesh, writer Ajay Gupta still has physical and mental recollections of his native nation. At the age of seventeen, he fled his family and came to this nation to begin a new life of struggle. The book has all these memories written in lucid language.

Author Sankarlal Bhattacharya, Anup Matilal, Biswajit Matilal, Publisher Apurba Gangopadhyay, Lawyer Debashish Sinha, Artist Sombarta Ghosh, Carmen Coman from Romania graced the book release ceremony.

A cultural program was also organized at the event. The students of Bratati Bandyopadhyay and Urmimala Bose performed wonderfully.

Soma Mukhopadhyay, Dhrubajyoti Chakraborty, Srinjay Moulik, Anushree Gupta, Mousumi Roy, and Shourya Ghosh participated in the solo event.

According to the author, one will be able to learn about the culture and partition of Opar Bangla or Bangladesh.
