The Hope Foundation’s 19th Annual Cultural and Education Day Organized
The Hope Foundation celebrated its 19th Annual Cultural and Education Day on the theme ‘Color- Shades of Life’at Nazrul Mancha.
The event took place in the presence of Chief Guest Mr. Bruce Bucknell, British Deputy High Commissioner, Kolkata; Ms. Waterford Rose Kirsten Mate Maher, The Hope Foundation Ireland Ambassador & Rose of Tralee, 2018; Ms Ananya Chakraborty , Chairperson , West Bengal State Commission of Child Rights and Protection; Ms Mousumi Pal (Guest of Honour) Nodal Officer of SJPU ( Special Juvenile Police Unit)and Protection of Women and Children Officer; Mr. Soumitra Roy Singer , Founder member of Bhumi and Member of SCPCR; Television Actress Simran Upadhyay, The Hope Foundation Indian Ambassador; Mrs. Pratima Nayar, Principal of Calcutta International School, Mr. Joy Sankar, lead vocalist of ‘Surma Dohar’, a Kolkata based folk band and Ms. Maureen Forrest, Founder and Director, Hope Foundation.
The Foundation Day also witnessed the august presence of Mr. Jay B Treloar Assistant Public Affairs Officer U.S Consulate General, Office of Public Affairs; Ms. Divya Bajaj Cultural Affairs Specialist (Exchanges) U.S Consulate General, Office of Public Affairs; Mr Cyrus Confectioner, General Manager of Indian Football Association ; Ms Loreto Kennedy and Maureen Kenny Walkers; Ms Maura Lenon, International Director of The Hope Foundation; Ms Suzi and Ms Gillian Yoga Group from Ireland, Hope U can Paint Group from Ireland; Allegra and Katie from Skychildren Onlus with a delegation of other dignitaries.
The Hope Foundation commemorated its 19th Annual Cultural and Education Day by showcasing different shades of life through different skits and dance performances by 700 underprivileged children. On this day, 354 beneficiaries of The Hope Foundation who have passed class X, XII and graduation this year were encouraged by awarding a certificate.
