Get Ready For Spine-Chilling Horror With Bengali Film Torulatar Bhoot
A group comes to a village resort for spending a day. The group consists of people from different age groups. It is during their daylong visit that they come to know about a village legend. There is a water body named Torulatar Dighi. The ghost of Torulata is behind the dark water and the ghost kills boys. The group who had planned to go back to Kolkata the same day had to stay back due to a roadblock. What happens next? This is in short the crux of the story of the upcoming Bengali film Torulatar Bhoot.
A press meet of the upcoming Bengali film was organized recently that was graced by director Deb Roy along with the cast and crew of the film.
The story, the screenplay is by Deb Roy.
The cast of the film consists of Pradip Mukherjee, Indranil Sengupta, Ishaa Saha, Basabdatta Chatterjee, Rahul Dev Bose, Kripa Bindu, Sumit Samaddar, Prosun Saha, Dipanwita, Snehendu, Triparna, Tuhina, Tublu, Prosanta, Somrup, Uday Sankar Pal, Dipanwita Hazari, Debol Ghatak.
Rahul Dev Bose has been seen mostly in negative characters in the roles that he has essayed for the serials. He will however be seen as a positive character in this film. His character Sayan is a responsible man. He is the person you go to for solving any problems. The actor felt that he was lucky that the audience appreciated him in negative characters. The audience will appreciate him in this new avatar.
Ishaa said that this is the first film that has been shot in 2021 and will be released this year too. She was happy that the film is getting released so soon. Despite being a horror film, she enjoyed shooting the film.
The film has been produced by Sarit Pal Chowdhury, Rabindranath Samanta. Joydeep Bose is the DOP while the editing has been done by Sujay Datta Ray.
The music of the film has been composed by Upal Sengupta while Anindyo, Upal, Chandril, Sona have lent their voices to the songs in the film. The lyrics have been penned down by Anindyo Chattopaadhyay and Chandril Bhattacharya.
The background score has been composed by Rudranil Chowdhury.
The two songs released are at the event were Kalo Joley and Picnic er Gaan. Upal Sengupta, Arundhati (Sona) Bhattacharya, Surajit Mukherjee, Rudraneel Chowdhury, Tiyasha Sengupta, Nilanjan Mandala, Abhijit Bhattacharyya, Subhendu Mukherjee have sung Picnic er Gaan. Kalo Joley has been sung by Arundhati (Sona) Bhattacharya.
Torulatar Bhoot surely looks promising as it has an interesting storyline and a great cast. We will have to wait and watch to know how the film actually turns out to be.
