The premiere of the film Broken Dream took place at Nandan in the august presence of esteemed personalities like Saikat Mitra, Alokananda Roy, Ashok Bhadra, Joydeb Sen, Sadhan Bagchi and others.

The film shows a very poignant issue occurring all around us. Education in recent times has become modern in many ways. But the main essence of education is to make a person a better human being. The film shows a student of cinematography who cannot match with the changing system. As a result, he does not get a job. This leads him to become depressed and dejected. And therein lies the essence of the title of the film.

Ashok Bhadra and Tapas Roy have composed the music of the film. Anil Dolui is the director of the recently released film.
