The premiere of ace director Suman Maitra’s film 71 Broken lines (Ekattor) took place recently.

The director’s earlier film Doshhomi was an emotional love story. The new film focuses on a more serious subject – the Bangladesh liberation war. The film ranges from separation to conflict of interests. It also sheds light on a number of complex issues related to the war and its consequences.

The cast of 71 Broken lines includes Sourav Roy, Lahari Chakraborty, Soumitra Ghosh, Koushik Goswami and Sushil Sikaria.

The film is running at different halls in the city.
