Leading mental health and wellness organization Antara formally opened the Axis-Antara Institute of Health Sciences at its Kolkata location and kicked off Mental Health Week 2025. Mr. Kevin Goh, Acting Consul-General at the Australian Consulate-General in Kolkata, Mr. Kamal Prakash, President, Antara, and Prof. (Dr.) Mukul Bhattacharyya, Vice Chancellor, West Bengal University of Health Sciences, was among the prominent dignitaries who attended the occasion.

In the fields of nursing, mental health, and related sciences, the Axis-Antara Institute of Health Sciences seeks to promote academic excellence and talent development. Antara hopes that this program will help develop a new generation of skilled and caring professionals who can meet society’s expanding mental health demands.

The occasion also signaled the start of a weeklong series of interactive workshops, expert speeches, and awareness initiatives designed to promote mental well-being and lessen the stigma associated with mental health issues.
