A major step toward enhancing experiential learning, behavioral sciences research, and mental health education on campus was taken as Heritage College successfully opened its new Psychology Laboratory.

Prof. Basab Chaudhuri, Director; Prof. Sandip Pal, Principal; Mr. Santosh Ray, General Manager; and other teachers, students, and invited academicians from the field of psychology attended the inaugural ceremony. The occasion demonstrated the institution’s dedication to creating a learning environment that is prepared for the future and is based on holistic development and scientific research.

The recently established Psychology Lab is furnished with- Modules for behavioral and cognitive testing, Tools for standardized psychometric evaluation, Memory, attention, perception, and learning experiment settings, Spaces for observation and counseling, and Infrastructure to facilitate research for student projects

Prof. Sandip Pal, Principal of The Heritage College, spoke at the event and emphasized the growing demand in today’s student ecosystem for skill-based practical training, mental health awareness, and structured psychological education. They reiterated that students will be able to study psychology outside of the classroom by using the lab as a center for research, workshops, field studies, internships, and interdisciplinary collaborations.

A guided tour of the facilities, interactive demonstrations, and talks on future initiatives and student research opportunities marked the event’s conclusion.

Comprehending the human mind is essential to both life and academia. With the use of scientific instruments, hands-on learning, and the capacity to interact intimately with ideas, feelings, and behavior, this lab will empower the students.
