On December 12, director Atiul Islam‘s much-awaited psychological thriller “Danob” will be released.

Atiul Islam, who is well-known for fusing compelling stories with social commentary, said, “In every film, I aim to convey a moral message. My biggest joy is that, even in the middle of the excitement, movies can represent something significant to society. Danob won’t let audiences down”.

The narrative centers on Shiva, a mortuary worker who finds his girlfriend Uma’s lifeless body one stormy night. He sits next to her, consoles her in his own way, combs her hair, and is overcome with grief. By morning, Shiva is accused of a horrible deed. He doesn’t say anything when questioned by the cops. When a new officer discovers he is innocent, the villagers’ fury forces Shiva to escape, setting off a startling chain of events that shows how a regular guy can become a monster.

“Uma’s struggles, the responsibilities she carries for her father, and the pain of shattered dreams—this character was deeply emotional to portray. Viewers will be profoundly affected by her journey” said Roopsha.
