A Unique Dance Education Program For Underprivileged Kids

With the goal of empowering impoverished children through the performing arts and assisting them in becoming self-sufficient in the future, Shimanti Das, the founder of Joyjeet Das Memorial School and the driving force behind the DASHOBHUJA initiative, has started a unique dance education program.
Internationally renowned Odissi dancer Avirup Sengupta has been hired as the dance instructor to spearhead this endeavor. In addition to running a special dance school for kids with special needs, Avirup has many years of experience working with children with special needs. The program seeks to develop talent, boost self-esteem, and open doors for kids from underprivileged backgrounds through his leadership and knowledge.

Hon’ble MLA Papiya Adhikari and famous oncologist Dr. Madhuchanda Kar attended the inauguration ceremony as Special Guests. They praised the initiative’s emphasis on social development, empowerment, and inclusion via the arts.
Joyjeet Das Memorial School continues to provide children from underprivileged communities with worthwhile opportunities under the direction of its founder, Shimanti Das. Several notable individuals were also honored for their contributions to society at the event.
