Great Healthcare Institutions In Kolkata Honored At JOYEE

44 healthcare facilities were recognized for their exceptional contributions to patient care and service excellence as part of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) 10th edition of JOYEE, its flagship program honoring excellence in caregiving. The initiative, which had the theme The Hands That Heal, The Hearts That Care, brought together nurses, healthcare executives, and caregivers to commemorate ten years of honoring those who are at the center of providing compassionate healthcare. At the event, the new JOYEE logo was unveiled, commemorating ten years of the initiative’s existence.
Agnimitra Paul, Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge, Department of Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Government of West Bengal, spoke to the group via a recorded video message, calling nursing one of the noblest expressions of humanity and emphasizing the vital role that nurses and caregivers play in bolstering the healthcare ecosystem. She emphasized that innovation must always be accompanied by compassion and human connection, citing the quick changes in healthcare brought about by AI, telemedicine, digital health, and emerging technologies. She praised healthcare professionals for their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, pointing out that nurses and other caregivers not only look after patients but also keep society hopeful. In order to create a more robust and resilient healthcare system, she urged ongoing funding for nursing education, research, leadership development, and skill improvement.
The 10th edition of JOYEE, according to Mr. Mehul Mohanka, Chairman, CII Eastern Region and Managing Director & Group CEO, Tega Industries Ltd., marked a significant milestone in acknowledging the extraordinary dedication, compassion, and selfless service of caregivers and nursing professionals. He pointed out that JOYEE has developed over the last ten years into one of India’s most reputable platforms honoring people who commit their lives to helping others.
Smt. Swagata Guha Mustafi, Chairperson, Indian Women Network (IWN), West Bengal, and Founder & Principal Designer, Finesse, highlighted the importance of the initiative’s ten-year journey, saying that JOYEE has developed into a meaningful movement that honors caregivers whose contributions to society are invaluable but frequently go unnoticed.
Apollo Multispeciality Hospitals in Kolkata, Fortis Hospital in Anandapur, Peerless Hospital, and Manipal Hospitals in Dhakuria were among the top healthcare facilities honored at JOYEE 2026, demonstrating the industry’s ongoing dedication to patient-centric care, nursing excellence, and caregiving leadership.
CII’s flagship program, JOYEE, honors excellence in nursing and caregiving. It has developed over the last ten years into a prominent platform that honors healthcare organizations and personnel who demonstrate empathy, dedication, and service while advancing best practices and bolstering the patient-centric care culture throughout the healthcare ecosystem.
