The Courage Walk- A Great Tribute To Life After Cancer

For women who have battled cancer, the conclusion of treatment marks not an end but a new beginning, one defined by courage, healing, and reintegration into daily life. In honor of these journeys of resilience and renewed hope, Manipal Hospital, EM Bypass, held The Courage Walk Onco-Gynae Survivor Meet 2026, uniting cancer survivors, doctors, healthcare workers, and honored guests in a moving tribute to living beyond cancer. The event turned into a tribute to life after cancer, as survivors recounted their experiences and honored the bravery, solidarity, and resilience that carried them through treatment and healing.
The event was graced by Chaitali Dasgupta, former Doordarshan anchor and artist, and Tanusree Shankar, renowned dancer, as the Chief Guests. Their presence brought a powerful dimension to the occasion, underscoring the significance of hope, self-expression, and living fully after cancer.
The event was also attended by Mr. Komal Dashora, Cluster Director – Mukundapur Cluster, Manipal Hospitals, Dr. Arunava Roy, HOD– Gynaecologic Oncology, Manipal Hospital EM Bypass, and Senior Consultant– Gynaecologic Oncology, Manipal Hospital Broadway & Saltlake, Dr. Neha Agarwal, Consultant, Gynaecologic Onco-Surgery, Manipal Hospital EM Bypass, and Dr. Arunashis Mallick, Consultant, Gynaecologic Onco-Surgery, Manipal Hospital EM Bypass, alongside cancer survivors.
The gathering united survivors who recounted their individual experiences of diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and their return to life with renewed confidence. The event emphasized the critical role of early diagnosis, suitable treatment, emotional support, and a robust support network in assisting patients through their cancer journey. To add a celebratory element, the survivors also took part in a special fashion show, confidently and proudly strutting down the runway to honor their journeys beyond cancer. The fashion show turned into a celebration of joy and self-expression, as survivors took center stage to honor their resilience and rekindled enthusiasm for life.
The programme gave survivors a chance to connect with each other, exchange their stories, and mark important moments after their cancer experiences. The event ended with a celebration honoring the survivors and their paths, reaffirming the spirit of The Courage Walk to honor each courageous step, every challenge faced, and every new chapter welcomed after cancer.
