An Excellent Induction Program “Swagatam 2026” Organized In Kolkata

The Dhono Dhanyo Auditorium in Kolkata hosted the Induction Program 2026–2027 for Narula Institute of Technology (NiT), a JIS Group Educational Initiative dedicated to academic excellence and holistic development. With opportunities for holistic growth, industry exposure, and inspiration, the program welcomed the new class of students and signaled the start of their academic journey.
Prominent figures from public life, academia, healthcare, film, spirituality, and business came together for the program.

The eminent guests consisted of Smt. Agnimitra Paul, Cabinet Minister-in-Charge for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Government of West Bengal; Sunny Deol, renowned Indian actor; Mr. Rajkumar Santoshi, renowned film director, producer and screenwriter; Dr. Kunal Sarkar, Director and Senior Consultant in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery; Prof. Tapas Chakraborty, Vice-Chancellor, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal; Swami Vedatitananda Ji Maharaj of Belur Math; Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director, JIS Group; Sardar Amrik Singh, Deputy Managing Director, JIS Group; Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director, JIS Group; Sardar Harinder Pal Singh, Trustee, JIS Group and Prof. (Dr.) Subhram Das, Principal, Narula Institute of Technology, and senior management of JIS Group and Narula Institute of Technology.
The presence of Sunny Deol, who engaged with the students and shared insights from his incredible journey in the Indian film industry, was a major highlight of the program. He also discussed his movie Batwara 1947. His interactions with the students gave the induction program a special touch, giving the young audience a chance to interact with a well-known figure and find motivation in his life experiences.

The importance of a multifaceted approach to education was reaffirmed by the presence of distinguished academic leaders from MAKAUT, Jadavpur University, and the University of Calcutta, as well as successful figures from the fields of film, healthcare, spirituality, and business. Their involvement demonstrated the importance of academic achievement, creativity, leadership, values, and practical experience in preparing students for a changing future.
Speaking to the new students, the esteemed visitors urged them to approach this new phase with self-assurance, tenacity, self-control, curiosity, and an open mind. They emphasized that higher education is a transformative stage that molds personality, values, leadership potential, and career goals in addition to academic success.

The program gave students the chance to investigate a variety of subjects outside of traditional classroom instruction, reflecting NiT’s strong commitment to 360-degree student development. The goal of exposing students to successful individuals, business executives, innovators, academics, and thot leaders is to broaden their horizons and assist them in developing into self-assured, flexible, and future-ready professionals.
Additionally, the program emphasized the value of fostering social responsibility, innovation, leadership, communication, and creativity. In addition to academic success. Students gained insights into tenacity, ambition, leadership, and the significance of resolutely pursuing their goals from their interactions with notable individuals.

Swagatam 2026 welcomed students into the larger JIS Group ecosystem and introduced them to an educational setting focused on learning, innovation, collaboration, values, and personal transformation, setting a positive and upbeat tone for the upcoming academic year.
As the program came to an end, Narula Institute of Technology reaffirmed its commitment to producing future-ready professionals and responsible citizens who possess not only knowledge and technical skills but also confidence, character, creativity, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
