Some evenings arrive to be treasured through poetry and music, providing the opportunity to see well-known performers perform together. Recently, Rabindra Sadan hosted a celebration honoring the timeless works of two legends: Gulzar and Rabindranath Tagore, amid the monsoon rains. Bengal Web Solutions organized the event, which was presented by Khukumoni and had a stage designed by Soumya Sarkar.

This monsoon brought a magical evening for the city’s culture-loving citizens, as performers in a program called Dui Tarar Dotara voiced a Shravan-Gatha (Monsoon Saga) of melody and verse.

The event brought together the profound and sensitive writings of renowned lyricist Gulzar with the timeless works of renowned poet Rabindranath Tagore. The evening’s captivating tapestry of Rabindranath’s songs and Gulzar’s poetry and songs, enveloped in feelings of love and longing, struck a deep chord with the audience.

The musical flow of this special evening was enhanced by notable performers such as Srabani Sen, Manomay Bhattacharya, Rupankar Bagchi, Mekhla Dasgupta, Arunasish Roy, and Chandrima Bhattacharya.

RJ Arijit was the event’s anchor, and Raja Das contributed his voice to the poetry.

The program, which Saroj Darbar created and curated, had a profound impact on the city’s culture vultures.

The performers on stage were honored by Aritra Raychowdhury and Riya Raychowdhury, who represented Khukumoni.

Tabu Mone Rekho (Srabani Sen), Tujhse Naraz Nahin (Rupankar Bagchi), Chhoti Si Kahani Se (Mekhla Dasgupta), Phirse Aaiyo Badra Bideshi (Chandrima Bhattacharya), and Anewala Pal (Manomay Bhattacharya) were among the notable performances.
