The annual concert of B.D. Memorial Jr. School, appropriately named “Dhwani,” took place in the auditorium of Indus Valley World School. It was a very unique and spectacular musical voyage.

The innovative Director/Principal Suman Sood, a well-known figure in Indian education with years of experience, came up with the idea, conceptualized, and led the way for this captivating musical extravaganza. Bipasha Das Roy, Arpita Ganguly, Sheela Mehra, Ranjana Rarhi, and Sudeshna Hore, as well as all the esteemed teachers who toiled day and night for months to train hundreds of students, ranging in age from toddlers to grade V, helped organize and directed the event, creating an unforgettable experience for all those in attendance.

Sudeshna Roy, Jaya Seal Ghosh, Anasua Choudhury, Tania Sen, Sujoy Biswas, Kamalpreet Kaur, Sucharita Roychowdhury, Debjani Banerji, Amita Prasad, Apala Dutta, Avijit Dasgupta, Sapna Sukul and Bobby Chakraborty, attended the event.

Bobby Chakraborty said that he shared a strong relationship with BDM International School and B. D. Memorial Junior School through the Anti Addiction Campaigns and otherwise. Suman Sood Madam supported his awareness program and he has been touched by her affection.

The original idea of “Dhwani-A Musical Journey” was to look for and discover music in all forms of nature, both living and non-living. The astounding presentation led us on a rhythmic journey through the development of music from the prehistoric age to its numerous evolutions up to the present. Observing both toddlers and fifth graders dance and perform flawlessly, never missing a beat or cue, was an incredible experience. The magnificent light and shadow effects combined with the extravagant costumes created an airy and colorful atmosphere that was infused with the actors’ pure innocence.

The youngsters demanded communal harmony at the end of the program through the famous song “Mile Sur Mera Tumhara” and the lovely school song written by Suman Sood.
