Great Response At The 10th Clifford Hicks International Debate

Calcutta Boys’ School recently concluded the landmark tenth edition of the Clifford Hicks International Debate, bringing together a vibrant community of young intellectuals and aspiring speakers from across India and around the globe.
Drawing over 83 schools and more than 300 participants, the prominent five-day event featured two days of preliminary rounds, a day of semifinals, and two thrilling days of finals. The international scope of the competition provided students with a dynamic platform to exchange ideas, explore diverse perspectives, and present arguments grounded in clarity, confidence, and logic.
Reflecting on the milestone, Mr. Raja McGee, Principal & Secretary of Calcutta Boys’ School, said, “This year marks the tenth edition of the Clifford Hicks International Debate. Calcutta Boys’ School has hosted this debate since 2015 in commemoration of its former principal, the late Mr. Clifford Hicks, who was an excellent debater. This year, we have 83 schools from India and overseas, totaling over 300 participants… lasting five days, with two days of preliminary competition, one day of semifinals, and two days of finals.”
