The eagerly awaited poster for Newsbeat Doshobujha Sanman 2026 was officially revealed in Kolkata, signaling the launch of this year’s campaign honoring the creativity, heritage, artistic brilliance, and communal spirit that define Bengal’s Durga Puja.
For the 2026 edition, Classical Dancer Ankita Dutta Karmakar has been unveiled as the face of Newsbeat Doshobujha Sanman 2026, bringing a unique cultural identity to the event. The poster launch gathered prominent figures from culture, classical arts, fashion, entertainment, music, and media, as well as representatives from various Durga Puja committees.
The occasion was graced by Grand Master Pradipta Kumar Roy, Senior Master Ruma Roy Chowdhury, Pandit Achinta Bhattacharya, ace fashion designer Santanu Guha Thakurata, Actor Supratim Roy, Musician Abhishek Basu, Mr. Vikram Roy Chowdhury, Prabir Singha Roy, Senior Orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Swarnendu Samanta, Ms.Oindrila Santra, Famous dancer Tanni Chowdhury, Educationist Sankarjit Chakraborty, and Brand specialist Duhita Paul, along with members, well-wishers and associates of the Newsbeat family.

Launched by Newsbeat Media India Group in collaboration with Roy’s Taekwondo Academy, Newsbeat Doshobujha Sanman seeks to honor the creativity, skill, heritage, social dedication, and community involvement that elevate Durga Puja to one of Bengal’s most cherished cultural events. The 2026 edition signifies a key milestone as Newsbeat Media India Group commemorates 12 years of its journey. This year’s Doshobujha Sanman has been made grander and more expansive by the organizers, who have broadened the award’s scope to encompass Howrah and Housing Pujos. The 2026 edition will highlight selected Durga Puja festivities in South Kolkata, North Kolkata, Howrah, and surrounding regions, with particular attention to the varied styles of Puja observances.
The 2026 edition will feature major titles including: Champion South, Champion North, Champion Howrah, Champion of Champions, Best Idol, Best Theme Maker, Best Theme, Best Concept, Best Environment, Best Housing Puja, Best Social Message Puja, Best Cost-Effective Puja, Judges’ Choice Award, Heritage Puja, along with several other special recognitions.
The organisers stressed that Doshobujha Sanman is more than just a competition. It is an initiative to honor the artists, artisans, designers, organizers, volunteers, and communities whose combined dedication and effort make the magic of Durga Puja possible.
