Shri Suvendu Adhikari, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, laid the foundation stone for Shyam Steel Group’s 2-MTPA Integrated Steel Plant as part of its Steel Division’s Expansion Program. The National Steel Policy (NSP) 2017’s goal of producing 300 MT of steel by 2029–2030 will be greatly aided by the proposed plant, which includes, among other things, the DRI Unit, Pellet & Beneficiation, Steel Melting Shop, and High Speed Rolling Mill for TMT Bars and structural steel.
