A Great Music Therapy Session For Autistic Children Organized

Renowned Grammy Jury member, Governor’s National Awardee, and GIMA recipient Pt. Prodyut Mukherjee recently led a life-changing music workshop at the Autism Ashram in Hyderabad in association with the Sangitanjaly Foundation. The workshop, which had the theme Healing Through Music, demonstrated how music can help autistic children express their emotions, communicate, and unwind.
“Music is a bridge to healing and inclusion”, said Sangitanjaly Foundation Chairman Abhijeeth Bhattacharjee.
“These workshops help to grow their mental health by calming and healing their minds. Aside from that, our main duty is to improve the world for them,” said Pt. Prodyut Mukherjee.
Children were encouraged to participate and connect because of the happy atmosphere created by the event.

Children with autism have benefited greatly from music therapy, including enhanced social skills, emotional control, and communication. “Music therapy is a game-changer for autistic children”, said Dr. Anil Kundra, President of Autism Ashram.
Music therapy enhances social skills, emotional control, and communication abilities. Calm tones and minimal sensory overload are part of the therapy. Children were encouraged to actively participate through the use of instruments like the tabla and jembe. Parents joined in, dancing and taking pleasure in the workshop, and the impact on those kids was evident as a healing effect.
