The second edition of Seller Growth Connect, a seller-focused event, and a special onboarding session were held in Kolkata by Myntra, one of the top fashion, beauty, and lifestyle destinations in India. The initiative intends to bring 400 current and up-and-coming sellers, local manufacturers, and brand owners to the platform before the holiday season. The event, which aimed to increase digital inclusion, brought together vendors from the city and throughout Eastern India in the areas of fashion, lifestyle, clothing, handlooms, and accessories. Building on the success of its first edition in May, the program gives regional MSMEs the supply chain readiness, market insights, and technology tools they need to meet demand across the country before the holiday season arrives.

The program is in line with Myntra‘s dedication to helping up-and-coming companies in the area reach a wider audience, grow nationally, and expand through a streamlined, technologically enabled process on the platform.

Kolkata and Eastern India, one of India’s most active centers for manufacturing and textiles, are crucial to the nation’s fashion ecosystem. With 1700 brands in the clothing, personal care, and accessory categories meeting the rising demand from discriminating consumers nationwide, Myntra has seen a notable increase in the participation of regional brands, especially those from West Bengal.

Importantly, the platform is bringing traditional craft forms like Taant sarees, Bishnupuri silk, and Dhakai Jamdani onto the national digital commerce map by expediting digital market access for iconic heritage textile clusters like Fulia, Shantipur, Dhaniakhali, and Bishnupur. Companies that support the handloom sector, such as Bengal Looms India, Bengal Saree Udyog, Adi Akshoy & Co., Vagmi, Gouri Collections, Kisah, Vastrmay, Uptownie, FTX, Dolce Crudo, Miss Chase, and Wishcare, are using Myntra’s ecosystem to become nationally recognized brands.

The different stages of growth of emerging brands on the platform are supported by Myntra’s structured and distinctive tech-led growth playbook. The framework provides useful information on marketing strategies, catalog optimization, assortment planning, and forecasting emerging trends. The playbook helps entrepreneurs navigate their digital commerce journey with data-backed precision by providing them with relevant business frameworks and specific brand-based insights.

Myntra’s AI-powered Seller Growth Hub has cut seller onboarding time from 10–15 days to roughly 1-2 days, demonstrating its dedication to frictionless seller onboarding and digital capability building. Emerging brands of all stripes can register, list catalogs, and get instant access to national consumer demand thanks to this technological infrastructure.

Bedanta Dutta, Senior Director, Marketplace, Myntra, said, “There is a rich and varied ecosystem of entrepreneurial companies, manufacturers, artisans, and brands in handloom, ethnic wear, apparel, and lifestyle categories throughout Eastern India, including West Bengal. Our seller base’s expansion in the area is a reflection of these companies’ increasing desire to expand their product offerings beyond their conventional markets and create brands that have national significance. We are collaborating closely with the seller community through Seller Growth Connect, providing entrepreneurs with the technology, growth frameworks, and marketplace insights they need to grow and reach a wider audience on the platform”.

Myntra continues to invest in enabling regional sellers to develop nationally accessible brands and bolster their digital capabilities in response to the growing demand for fashion and lifestyle products from consumers across markets. Myntra continues to strengthen its relationship with regional sellers through programs like Seller Growth Connect, giving their brands access to the platform’s 75 million+ monthly active users in India. With 98% of serviceable pincodes in India, Myntra is leading the way in redefining the shopping experience through customized tech solutions.
